Quality of water is
an important criterion for evaluating the suitability of water for drinking and
irrigation. The present study was carried out to determine the seasonal
variations of physicochemical parameters in water samples from Antiya Taal,
Jhansi city, India during August 2014 to May 2015. Seasonal variation of some
physico-chemical parameters such as, temperature, pH, salinity, turbidity,
conductivity, hardness, chloride contents, alkalinity, total solid, total suspended
solid, total dissolved solid , free CO2, dissolved oxygen (DO), chemical oxygen
demand(COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD), total organic carbon and heavy
metals were determined for the estimation of pollution load. The observations
imply that The water of Antiya Taal was found better in the month of November
and February compared to that of the month of May. - See more at: .
