Inorganic elements
play an important role in the physiology of parasites. These are intimately
related with growth, maintenance of acid-base equilibrium and synthesis of
organic material. In present study seven inorganic elements viz. Ca , Mg, Fe,
Zn, Cu, Pb and Cd was determined quantitatively in immature , mature and gravid
proglottids of Moniezia expansa by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Quantitative
analysis revealed that Ca and Mg content were higher than Fe. Cu and Pb were
